With regulatory changes shaking up the equity market, participants are on the lookout for solutions to help them ensure limited negative impact to their business With added pressures to all players in the market, trading professionals have had to up their game to ensure they have competitive edge. The need for smarter, more educated trading is essential in a market that remains low in liquidity and very crowded. Conducted in August 2016, this senior level survey was tasked with identifying the key challenges, opportunities and industry trends related to equity trading and technology in North America. We interviewed 100 senior equity trading buy-side professionals made up primarily of Heads of Trading, CEOs and senior management from leading asset management firms and hedge funds.

Maintaining Competitiveness

In Q3 of 2017 WBR Digital & Equities Leaders Summit surveyed 100 Equity Traders based in North America. The research Prioritized buy-side firms, including asset management firms, hedge funds and pension funds. Respondents to the survey were global Heads of Trading, global Heads of Equities, Lead Traders or others of an equal standing. The survey was conducted by appointment over the telephone. The results were compiled and anonymized and presented here with analysis and commentary from the Equities Leaders Summit community.
