Business Development, Capital Markets Equinix

As part of the Equinix Americas Business Development team, Bill is responsible for overseeing, cultivating and expanding the industry’s leading Capital Markets/Electronic Trading ecosystems. In this role, Bill maintains strategic relationships with leading exchanges and trading venues, market makers, HFTs, prop shops, broker/dealers and buyside firms to enable and optimize their cross-asset class electronic trading activities. Prior to joining Equinix Bill was with IBM Global Business Services where he worked with financial services clients on enterprise transformation through emerging technologies such as natural language processing, machine learning, artificial intelligence. These client engagements were data driven and designed to deliver prescriptive insights to drive revenue growth. Prior to IBM Bill spent eleven years with Thomson Reuters in a variety of leadership roles including heading up their global real-time and historical data businesses. These businesses deliver market leading enterprise propositions which are mission critical and deeply embedded into customers’ capital market workflows. During Bill’s time with Thomson Reuters he was part of the leadership team that developed Thomson Reuters’ global hosting and managed services business. Bill then added the Americas piece of that business to his portfolio. Before joining Reuters in early 2006, Bill spent time at Interactive Data (now ICE Data Services) in a senior business development capacity. Bill’s career in market data and financial technology spans back to Dow Jones Telerate/Bridge Information Systems where he served as VP of Sales.
