Spark Nakamura

Spark Nakamura, executive director, is an equity trader based in New York with a focus on trading Latin American equities and ADRs for the Emerging Market and Asia Pacific investment group. Spark joined the firm in Hong Kong in 2013, trading Pan Asian equities, futures, swaps and currencies, helping lead the build-out of regional trading capabilities there. Prior to joining the firm, Spark held equity trading positions at Segantii Capital Management in Hong Kong and AllianceBernstein in both Hong Kong and Tokyo. Before that, Spark was a trader in the international securities lending trading group at BlackRock in San Francisco. Spark began his career at Lehman Brothers in Tokyo, working on both the single stock trading and equity finance desks. Spark obtained a Bachelor of Science in Applied Economics and Management from Cornell University in 2006. He is also a CFA charterholder.  Spark is bilingual in English and Japanese and speaks elementary Mandarin.
